Center Console Compatibility

In the process of swapping a T56 car over to auto.

Curious as to if the shifter area trim from the stick car car just be swapped out for an automatic shifter trim area? I searched but i couldnt really find what i was looking for. It looks like i should be able to, but id rather make sure.

So can i swap this...

Correct, you can swap out that one piece.

Some guys like to keep the manual upper console for use with the automatic ... for the nice looking boot, fwiw

Was debating that, and actually planned on doing so but running an aftermarket shifter. But decided the money i would spend on a shifter would be better applied to something else on the car(since it doesnt even have an engine at the moment)
