Default silicone radiator hoses...

Is anyone using the silicone radiator hoses ? ...

If yes, are they any better than the standard OEM replacement hoses from the local auto parts store, which are about a 1/4 of the price ?

Not on an fbody, but I use them on my imports. For hondas and my eclipse with the 4g63 I can get a 9 piece kit with every hose being silicon for $60 shipped.

Silicon hoses are great and don't get weak over time and hold constant water pressure and never bulge. However they currently do not make the heater hose lines for our cars in silicon, so having only the upper and lower hoses silicon doesn't offer any true advantages over conventional hoses.

Long story short, there's no real benefit to spending $120 on 2 hoses

With every hose being silicon the under hood temps were extremely predictable and the cars were always warm by the exact same point in my daily commute
Example of a $60 9 piece complete hose kit
