AC troubles.
I'll put this in here so Y'all don't bash me too hard, I've read all the the threads on this and none of it fixed it for me, this I'm coming to Y'all professional internet mechanics.
Anyway. Here we go.
Ok. I bought a 2000 TA LS1, bone stock, a couple days ago. I'm trying to figure out why the AC isn't working. Here's what I've tried. I initially thought it was low on refrigerant. I have a pressure gauge, and the low and high size are both sitting at 100 PSI, and the compressor isn't kicking on. Next I turned it off, disconnected the battery for 10 min, and swapped the Fuel Pump and AC compressor relays, the car started and the Compressor still didn't kick on. Then I disconnected the battery again, waited a few minutes and jumped the 37 and 80 (the one accross from it, I don't remember the exact number, but it's the power lead) whenever I start the car, the compressor doesn't kick on, but the fans do, even if the car isn't hot?!?
Anyone have a recommendation? I'm out of guesses.
Thanks ahead of time.
