Automatic headlights on during the day
Automatic headlights on during the day I was driving my 2000 trans am the other day and noticed that my headlights were up during the day.I have a canada trans am with the auto headlights.When it gets dark and you let off the emergency brake the headlights go on automatically with the car running.
I noticed that the headlights were on while driving during the middle of the day.I pulled over and turned the car off. Put on my emergency brake. I started the car
again and released the emergency brake. The headlights went up again. I did this a few times and the same thing happened.It has never done this before. Do any of you guys have any thoughts on this? What should I try to fix this?

Is the switch for high beams in the on position? If I'm reading the service manual correctly, the low beam head lights would remain on. I've attached pages from the 2000 service manual that may help you troubleshoot your problem.
