Default Power steering line restrictor

99 chevy camaro z28 I'm replacing my steering rack along with power steering pump and high pressure line. I purchased everything except the high pressure line and when looking at them I see they come with a fluid restrictor. Where does this fluid restrictor install? I'm adding a pick. It is the small yellow plastic part. Was this also oem?

Default

If the part you purchase actually comes with that, it should be left off. The original equipment didn't come with one and I expect the part you are looking at is used on a number of cars.

Our power steering pump has a pressure relief valve, ahead of the line which regulates pressure.
