My car acts up when wet. Help??!!! I have a 99 formula firebird. With a cold air intake and new exsuast. It runs great. Until it rains or I wash it. I have to always wait till next day to drive it. It ideals funny. Then when I put it in gear. It feels like it wants to shut off. Sometimes if I give it alot of gas for a couple of minutes. It will start to drive fine. When I'm driving and it starts to happen. It dosent wanna change gears. It's an automatic. It's like it dosent get enough rpms to change gears. It has a new fuel pump fuel filter. I checked the ignition coils and there not cracked. Help please. I also forgot to mention I did a obd2 scan and it says random misfire

first thing I would do is make sure you don't have any water getting into the intake somehow. Run a hose over the hood and windshield then pop the hood and see where the water is going.

Not saying this is the cause, but I had the same issue when I bough my car. My TA needed to be towed 2 different times because it got stranded when it began to pour outside. I took some peoples advice and bought proper o2 sensors (I have long tube headers) and did away with what was ever on my car plus the extensions they had used. 5 years later never had that problem again. Just something you may want to look in to.
