Default t-tops latch replacement?

I was wondering if it is possible to replace the t-top latches as my driver side is loose and rattles when driving. Thanks!

You can take them apart. Is it just the latch that is loose, or the locking pins? The pins are adjustable. The latch itself might just need to be tightened up. It's been a long time since I've had a set of those apart. Mine got smashed out once upon a time. I got some new ones for $75 and moved the locking/latching mechanism from the old ones to the new ones so the same key would work.

Actually it's the shaft for the lever that you move to open / close the t-tops.

It can be replaced if my memory serves correctly. I'd try adjusting first though. Loosen and slide the holes down a little bit and see if it fits tighter. I have to push mine down slightly when installing.

Sorry for not being clear.....the t-top itself is not loose. The lever that you move is what is loose and rattling when driving.

It can be taken apart, and the rods and latch can be removed iirc.

I just lubricated mine. They are super easy to take apart.

1) Remove screws at ends of T-top (near the pins).

2) There is a small spring clip on each handle. Pop this off the side with a small flat head screwdriver.

3) Remove handle.

4) Remove plastic cover by tilting it off so it clears the part that is hooked underneath at the ends where you removed the screws. (This sounds harder than it is, it will be obvious when you take it apart.)

You may need to bend the spring clip for the handle, or you may have to bend the spring plate under the handle (where the grease is). The plate is what holds the handle in the open or closed position and gives it resistance when you turn it.
