AC Evap Line o-ring missing?

AC Evap Line o-ring missing? I’m replacing the compressor on a 99 TA and when I removed the evap line to change the orifice I noticed the male end that mates into the condenser didn’t have any packing or O ring on it at all. The book says to replace the o ring but I’m not sure if it means the one going into the orifice side of the line or the condenser side. Any help is much appreciated it. Thanks.
