Headlight Intermittently works. Hi. This is my first time posting on this site but I'm currently trying to figure out an issue. I have a 1999 firebird v6 and the right headlight will pop up and work sometimes. Sometimes it will pop up but not light up. Before I go and buy anything I would like to know if anyone knows what this might be. Any help will be appreciated!

i would start by looking at all connectors. they typically like to corrode over time. clean everything up and see what happens.

With the headlight ITSELF sometimes not coming on and the headlight motor intermittently not rising ... It sounds like it's not getting power when it needs to which 98% of the time is traced back to the connector.
The connector is located on the frame stuffed between two wedges behind the headlight motor assembly.

+1 on the above. Some other things:
If you have stock bulbs:
- The bulb connector can loosen up. Pinching the bulb contacts a little closer together can fix this problem.
- Some Sylvania replacement bulbs were known to be bad out of the box. (If your bulb is old and was reliably working for some time then you don't have an issue here.)
