I have a 1998 Camaro Z28 5.7, I have no brake lights. The only brake light that works is the spoiler light. I installed new bulbs and went to install new brake switch when I noticed I was missing the blue plug with four wires, two pink, one green and purple wires. I've looked all over for this plug and cannot find it. I did not find any signs of cut wires either. How do I fix this so my brake lights will work again?
Hey everyone I need some help! I have a 1998 Camaro z28 with the 5.7L 4 speed Auto. Before I bought this car it was a 6 speed manual that was converted to a 4 speed auto. The dummy before me thought it was cool to cut wires. I have fixed all of these cut wires. I'm still having issues getting brake lights to work. The spoiler brake light works just fine. I have replaced all bulbs and fuses. I even installed a new brake switch. Still no brake lights, on the brake switch is their suppose to be two set of wires plugged in a two prong and a four prong? If so I cannot locate the four prong with the two pink, green and purple wires. Could someone give me some good advice on how to fix this issues.

You can't find the extra connector because it doesn't exist on a manual transmission car (it is used for the automatic transmission brake interlock). The brake light switch must be working since you have a working third brake light (same switch) so you need to look for a problem like a broken wire between the switch and the tail lights.
That is what I've been wanting to know, thanks this helps out a lot. This car use to be a 6 speed manual before I bought it as a roller. I put my 4 speed auto in it.
