Idle Surging

abybody know why my idle would surge from 800 to 2000 after the car is warmed up. Happens in gear and in neutral while driving and at stop lights. Could a bad air pump cause this? Check engine light just came back on after air check valve replaced. Car is stock 1998 z28 150,00 miles

Also check the IAC valve, might need cleaning

Thank you guys. Recently replaced one of the valves and got a pending code for the air pump. Would the vacuum leak be from the intake manifold or from the pcv lines?

Vacuum leak could be from anywhere. Exactly what valve did you replace and which brand is it?

AIR check valve bank 1 and AC Delco
