Default Ac making noise
My ac is making a loud ticking noise when ever it is on and gets louder the longer it is on and stops as soon as I turn the ac off.

Might be the compressor clutch going out. Is this a noise under the hood?

Start looking for a new compressor and to redo you air.

Probably the reed valves going bad in the compressor. You can use a stethoscope and listen to the compressor. If that's it you will need a new compressor. If you're lucky it will be the clutch and you won't have to open up the system.
