Seal the Cowl Hi to all!
I have a '99 Camaro and the cowl leaking rain over the engine.
I've removed the cowl, both parts, and I've replaced the weaterstrip with a same tipe.
Not good idea, io continue to let the rain comes underhood.
Somebody of you have solve the problem?
I think is better to use a weaterstrip.

Get silicone chalking then use it to seal all along the front edge of the cowling. Also underneath the cowling you need to seal each plastic rivet and hole. I use a rubber glove then put the silicone chalk on my finger tips and work it into every hole and rivet. Then test it with water till every leak has stopped.

Can I use silicone on the plastic rivet but I wantto use weatherstrip on the front edge.
do you think it is the same?
