Default Slip in steering wheel

I have a 2000 Camaro SS. Has 192k on it. I'm having trouble pinpointing the cause of this slip i have in the steering wheel before it actually starts turning. Its about 1in and a half to 2 inches. I read about the rag joint but heard that's older 4th gens. Any help would be appreciated

When I did my headers, apparently I did not push the input shaft on the steering rack enough. That first drive the steering was sloppy and loose. I had to readjust that connection and tighten the bolt down good. After that it was good.
Just ensure the bolt on the connection hasn't loosened and allowed the input shaft to slide off the rack a little bit.
