Default Advise on replacing power steering pump return line?

Question / advice needed 🤔

so I have to replace the low pressure/ return line hose for 02 ss.

This is hose that goes from right side of pump (closer to driver side fender) to my external cooler then to the rack. There’s no metal intermediate pipe in hose and from what I read it’s a 3/8” hose.

Before I dive into this, are there any pit falls?
The pump reservoir is plastic . Can I break something while trying to take off the hose?🤔

Are you saying the metal part of the return line is gone ? If the hose is bad around the tank nipple just slice it off with a razor....if you break it .....its new tank time

Pics ?

I did the coolant bypass mod described here.
https://ls1tech.com/forums/general-m...g-success.html

The hoses that go to this fin cooler are just regular hoses with no metal intermediate pipes. The hose that goes to right side bottom of fluid resevoir from fin cooler is knicked and needs replacing.
