since i I got my WS6, the TCS and Cruise hasn’t worked, because there are components missing from the car. I’m trying to understand what I need to at the very least get the cruise working again. Under the hood I have found a Bowden cable coming from the cruise control module, but that’s all I have.
what am I missing? In photos of other cars I’ve seen there’s some kind of stepper motor module mounted to the passenger side inner wing but I’m told this is only for TCS. If I wanted to put cruise back, do I need this unit?
I believe from looking online, that I'm missing the ASM unit, but wiring diagrams seem to show this deals with the TCS, not cruise..do i need it for cruise?
Is there any areas you need a picture(s) of to determine the missing parts? My 02 Z28 has cruise & tcs and should be the same set up.
Might be worth contacting Hawk's Motorsports. They have an extensive knowledge of 4th Gen's and the necessary parts available on hand to fix the cruise control and tcs.
On a car without tcs the throttle and cruise cables go directly to the throttle body. With tcs they route through the stepper motor on the passenger inner fender. You may need a non tcs cruise cable, but I'm not positive to be honest. I know the throttle cable is different for tcs.

Bammax, yes I've seen one ws6 without TCS and cruise connected direct to the throttle body. I was hoping i could swap the cable end and have the cruise running without TCS. I don't need TCS.
