Default Need a Shifter Boot Ring for a T56 4th Gen Fbody

The plastic retaining ring that holds the gearshifter boot to the console is broken on my 99 z28. I’ve read some old posts saying a few people sold a metal replacement.

Are these still available? Could someone post a link or message me to somewhere to get them.

If your original one isn't shattered, you can simply weld it back together with ABS cement. (Not PVC cement - you need to get the stuff for ABS.) I did this to mine over 10 years ago and it's still perfectly fine.

If you want/need the wire one, you can PM Farmer2: https://ls1tech.com/forums/member.php?u=6037 He is the one who invented these devices. There also some (non-sponsor) vendors that still stock the "shift boot bracket". (Presumably supplied from Farmer2)

Thanks. Sadly don’t have all of the original boot retainer. I think a previous owner broke it while fitting a non factory alarm. But it had many bits missing.

Is Farmer2 still active on the forum? Any chance someone could message me one of the non sponsor vendors? Thanks.
