Default Need Help Please Steering Wheel Shake

I just purchased a 99 Z28 and it has a driveline vibration and at about 60+ the steering wheel shakes out and back about half an inch when you let it go. Still stays straight but just shakes left and right left and right. Any idea where to start?

Not a ton of help but I also have a front end steering wheel shimmy that is much better with the front sway bar removed. I plan to start by replacing the lower A- arms for I feel the bushings may be shot. Might be a good place to start for you also.

Checking bushings is always a good idea, check the tie rods and ball joints while you’re at it. I would suggest having the tires balanced and alignment adjusted too.

This is the speed where wheel balance issues will become pronounced. If the shaking goes away as your speed goes higher, then you just have a wheel out of balance.
