Default Cut wire off PCM

Just picked up another fbody thats lived most of its last 6 years parked under a tree. Its a 99 Z28 6 speed car.

. while cleaning it up and getting it back to road worthy, i came across an issue.

As you can see, the light green/white wire is cut. PCM pin out tells me its "IAC Coil B High ControlPin B." That sounds important lol

I have not driven the car any more than out of a yard and onto a trailer, but it seems to run fine. Is this wire for something that is like a high RPM signal or something?

assuming i should just reconnect the wire and move on ?

Looks like an animal was chewing on it. I'd look for others...

A properly sized heat shrink, waterproof butt splice (these days, found at any parts store) will get you back in order here:

You might check for codes. You could have a code for some sensor where the PCM is gracefully dealing with the failure.
