2002 transam A/C issue Restoring a 02' TA NHRA with my father as a project, AC wasn't working since we got the car so we replaced the condenser, compressor, drier and flushed the system out. Got the car charged up and it's been blowing ice cold for about a week now. Started to notice a buzzing coming from the passenger side firewall. AC still works great but its so loud the radio wont cover up the noise. Almost like a beehive is in the car. Noise goes away but comes back on when the compressor kicks in again and there isnt anything wrong with the blower. Anyone have a clue on what could cause this? first time making a post on here not sure if i'm in the right place.
...I had a similar issue once...blower blew fine, but had a loud buzzing sound. Couldn't figure out what it was, so decided to take a look at the blower anyway. Turns out a dried leaf had made it's way in there and was the culprit. Cleaned out the fan cylinder housing and problem solved...
