top post battery conversion/ best battery options
I know it's been years but just in case anyone else visiting or Thread Starter hasn't came across this yet, here's a video of a simple battery conversion.
The video goes over battery tray modification to fit a group 78 battery instead of the stock group 75. I personally like smaller and lighter batteries, but some reasons anyone might want to switch over are higher CCAs (cold cranking amps) for cold weather, more RC (reserve capacity) and Ah (amp-hours) meaning longer run times, more amp supply capability over a set period of time, and will be generally better at deep-cycling and have a more desirable discharge rate. As for voltage, the car will draw what it needs.

I was just going to comment that Rural King has a dual post battery. I installed a group 78 years ago and never trimmed the left side of the coolant bottle. Maybe mine was broken off previously.
