Traction Control and ABS Lights Hi all,
So I was troubleshooting a noise I've been having in the rear end and I had the rear end in the air. I put it in drive to get the tires to spin to see if the noise would occur. I realized I didn't turn off traction control like 5 seconds in so I switched it off. I just tried turning the traction control back on and it won't... I also have ABS INOP light. Any ideas what I may have done?

Brake module thought something was wrong because rear wheels were spinning and front wheels were stationary so it set a code. No TC available when it thinks there is a system problem. After several key cycles and driving it will reset and go back to normal.
Made a pass at the strip one night and ran into the same issue. Took off my rear rotors and one of the TCS sensors was making contact with the gear. Removed and re-installed and all went back to normal.

That was what it was then. I had it on ramps and just backed it down last night. This morning when I drove it it went away.
If you have a scanner that gets into the ABS system, you should be able to manually clear and reset the codes.
