Service Engine light flashing My 2000 LS1 trans am Ws6 was running good I've replaced all plugs and wires and it ran fine for 3 months out of the blue it started to bog down and sputter with a major loss of power and service engine light started to flash . It will run fine for a few miles and then bog down i can cut the car off while in motion and then crank it back up runs fine then back to bogging down after I get another couple 100 yards . I can smell bunch of gas being dumped also . What can I doi it still runs like that after I replace all old o2 sensors today . Need help badly any advice is greatly appreciated . Asap I'm late for work and can't afford to miss another day of work Daly driver trans am . .

I am by no means an expert on anything automotive, all I can do is give you my opinion, to me it is either:
1. multiple misfires
2 .your cam sensor is not in sync with your crank sensor therefore you are running without the proper timing, just firing " left bank then right bank"
JMHO, DO NOT KILL THE MESSENGER.

A flashing check engine light usually means random, multiple misfires. Re-check your work with the plugs and wires. Pulling the plugs one at a time and examining them could show where the problem is, if it is with the plugs or wires. And make sure the wires are connected good.
The fuel smell is probably because the fuel in one or more cylinders is not getting fire. That is where I would start looking. Oh, and have the codes read with a code reader. That may give you more clues.

As mentioned above, a flashing SES light always indicates a misfire (serious misfire) and should always trip a P0300 code, it should also show a cylinder specific misfire code (P030x, x = 1-8 corresponding to the cylinder number) if it was bad enough to be flashing. That second code should give you some indication of which cylinder is most likely causing the issue. There may be other codes as well, which could help lead you in a specific repair direction. I'd start by getting it scanned and see just exactly which codes are present before anything else.
