2000 LS1 Z28 AC Compressor Hi All:
Apparently GM has discontinued the AC compressor for the 2000 LS1. What is the recommended replacement for these? Rebuild kit, replacment brand, etc. Mine is leaking oil and not holding freon charge. Was planning to order compressor, orifice tube and drier.

I did mine a 2 months ago. O'reillys has a 4 seasons new compressor, dryer, orifice tube, and new orings. Lifetime warranty on it. For around 360. So far it's working perfectly. Definitely get a new one with a lifetime warranty.
Got a Delphi compressor from Rockauto for my 2000, it's absolutely identical to the original stock one. Working fine so far. You wouldn't want to pay GM prices for a compressor even if they did still stock it.
