New here with a Mouse chewed wire question? First of all thanks for the add! I am looking to purchase a 1994 Firebird Formula and raised the hood and saw a mouse /rat nest right on top of the engine. I found the evap wiring was chewed through completely and that appears to be the only wiring damaged. I drove the vehicle and the service engine soon light is on but it ran great. Can you just splice new wiring to the evap plug in or is it best to replace the whole wiring harness in this situation? Thanks!

Turn on the heat and ac and let run for a good period before buying, if rodents have gotten in its not uncommon for them to get in the air system and it ruins the heater core and ac core when they get rodent guano on them. Plus the car will stink to high heaven in damp weather.
