Default What's this for?

I don't see this 5 pin connector on my 01 which is a manual car and the A/C connector is a 2 pin if I'm not mistaken.

Assume your talking about the connector hanging off the block? that's about where the stock Alternator connector was on my L59 I bought for parts..

I agree it definitely looks like the EGR plug. Mine just hangs out as well. Tuck it away and call it good.

No problem. 01-02 cars did not have EGR from the factory.

Please help me out here, my understanding is that the

2001, & 2002 LS1 engines incorperated the "LS-6" intake manifold which intern eliminated the EGR valve.

Correct... 01-02 cars have the LS6 with no EGR equipment.
