01 camaro v6 stalling hello my name is Mike I have a 2001 chevy camaro 3.8..it has 188,000 miles on it still runs pretty good except for today i was on my way to work and it stalled out of nowhere..started back up and was sputtering and struggling to accelerate i stopped at a store let it sit for about 20 min and made it to work 5 minutes later with no issue...on my way home from work it ran fine for about 15 min then started stalling and hesitating and also overheating a little..thanks. hopefully someone can tell me what the problem is..I have an idea that it might be the fuel pump but wanna be certain before I do anything thank you.
Definitely check the fuel pressure at the rail. Any check engine light? Check for stored codes.
If it ran fine after 5 mins of cooling down, and then ran fine for 15 mins after work, it may sound like an issue when it gets hot. Check the coolant level. 2001's have the dummy gauge, so if your gauge was actually telling you it was overheating, then it most likely was overheating.

Mike, if you're still following this thread, pressure check your cooling system. My sons drove V6 Firebirds for years. Several blown head gaskets on those cars.
