Intermittent no start
Intermittent no start I have a 94 Z28 LT1 in my 68 Impala SS. Went to start it today, turned the key about four times before it fired up. Made a clicking noise and then it started as normal. This is a newer starter motor and I bench tested it and it worked fine. Could there be a voltage drop off when turning the key to the start position? I really have little knowledge of electrical systems so that was just speculating. It doesn't do it every time and there is no drag on the starter once it fires up, like maybe a weak battery or starter. Any clues on what might be going on?

Check all of your power conections again, be sure of them. To the battery, to the starter. Then the battery, if it is more than 4 years old it may be the problem, seems good most of the time and fails sometimes. This is a '94 car, have you added anything other than when it was stock, like a dash camera? I had to go to a deep cycle battery a few months after adding my dash cam. It was just enought power pull that usually worked right but sometimes failed. Deep cycle battery solved the problem.
