Silverado classic 07 Hey guys, I have classic 07 4.8 cammed/ headers
I’ve cleaned up my throttle body. after I cleaned it, the car started to accelerate by itself without pressing the gas pedal. Also, the reason why I cleaned it up because the car idles poorly. Now the car idles great, but have this problem of accelerating without pressing the gas pedal.
Have anyone encountered this problem before or know the cause of the problem?

What is the idle speed? When you say it will accelerate by itself are you talking about just putting it in gear and it starts moving? If the idle is to high it will move on it's own. Check for a vacuum leak.

When I put the car into drive the starts moving and shift gear. Once, the car reached 50mph without without pressing the gas pedal. Also. When I put it into park after driving it. The rpm will be at 2000 and then drops.

That is a HUGE vacuum leak to the point where it's overwhelmed the ability of the car to maintain idle and accel to 50 and not just run lean and throw codes. Sounds more like your IAC is getting stuck or your TPS is out of whack. You'll need to look at scan data to see what your O2's are reporting and what the IAC and TPS are looking like.
If you cleaned it because it was idling poorly then again that would point to IAC, depending on how it was cleaned and generally it's age/condition it may be junk now. You can try the TPS reset procedure for your truck, at least that is free but, anything you are doing without looking at data is a guess at this point though.
