Default Custom AC lines: size?

I have some spare 8AN and 10AN fittings and PTFE hose from doing fuel lines already, can I reuse that for some custom ac lines, both high and low pressure? Or do I need different sizes (I was going to use 8 for high side and 10 for low side, obviously).

I think the -8 will work for the low side but I think the high side lines need to be -6 to keep the operating pressures correct. Larger diameter line will lower the operating pressure and will not have as an efficient temp drop across the expansion valve.
