Default parking brake pawl spring missing

Hello All,

Getting my '99 Firehawk ready to pass on to a new caretaker and I found that the Ebrake is working intermittently.
Took off the console and found the spring that keeps the ratcheting pawl in place during parking brake use is missing. Not sure if it broke or just popped off but I checked everywhere and just can't find it!

Here's a pic off of feebay. Note the little spring inserted in the ebrake metal frame that holds the ratcheting pawl agains the tooted wheel...

Aside from getting another used full assembly from feebay for $40+, do I have any other options?
If not, I'll have to bite the bullet and get a used assembly just for the spring.
Selling my pride and joy without a fully functional e-brake is not an option, but I'd sure like to be able to get the
spring without buying the whole assembly.
Appreciate any input and suggestions.
