You running a 50/50 mixture? Maybe try a 40/60 mix. 60 on the water side. It should help some. Drain a gallon out and add distilled water and go for a drive. Your planning on flushing it anyway so why not experiment first?
I was thinking something like this. Water has a better cooling capacity than glycol, but of course freezes in winter (plus other things) so we can't run just straight water. But diluting a bit may help your cooling ability some.
