Is my alternator going bad or is it something else?

ok so it all seems good. See how it goes than….. But from now forward if anything weird happens, the slightest of flickering or low power reading, or windows rolling up/down slower than normal, etc…….
The alternator is failing. Those damn things play tricks on us and make us chase our tails.

So it did it once yesterday but only briefly. It has been fine. I excited and was running 55-60 and I shifted from OD to D so the RPM went up. It shot straight down. So I watched it at that RPM for maybe 15-20 seconds letting off the gas so drop speed and nothing. I clicked it back into OD and it shot straight back up. Now come to think about it every time it has acted up I have been at a higher RPM. Close to 4k or higher. As long as I drive it normally on the freeway it is fine. Its when those RPM's shoot up. I haven't gotten it checked due to an insanely busy schedule this month. I barely have time to get it cleaned up for a show and get gas in it morning of. I was hoping tomorrow, but we now have a sick kid so I am at home with him. Maybe if he is up to it tomorrow I will run it up there after my doctors appointment. Right now I am dealing with a lot of throw up...
Anyway, if you wait too long it’s gonna finally fail. If your battery is fully charged you’ll get 5-6 miles driving it very mellow to get it somewhere. Turning off everything possible to shed the load

I hear you man. My kid has a G-Tube, throws up is 2-3 times a day, every day. Luckily he’s cool or I'd return his ***.....lol
Anyway, if you wait too long it’s gonna finally fail. If your battery is fully charged you’ll get 5-6 miles driving it very mellow to get it somewhere. Turning off everything possible to shed the load
