Driver window tilts inward when going down Ever since the last driver window motor was installed months ago, the front of the window wouldn't go up all the way into the front bezel, I'd need to open the door and pull it up to seal it. A few days ago I noticed an unusual clunking inside my driver door when I lowered the window. Subsequent lowering of the window causes the front of the window to separate from the bezel rearward and the top of the window will tilt inwards.
I already have a piece of sheet metal installed by a former GM master tech perhaps 7 years ago. I used to keep a spare ACDelco 11M24 (still orderable) window motor on hand, but I can't locate it. If it happens to need both a regulator & motor, is it better to buy the combined assembly, or separates? Any preference on brands? Or maybe it needs something else?

The first thing I would check is the rear roller. If you can move the front of the glass up and down with your hand, (without the window motor running) a physical piece of the door track/hardware is broken.

The shop found that the rearward roller rivet broke and they didn't think it would be easy to weld in that area. They sourced a used window and we'll schedule replacement on an upcoming weekend. Updated photos in my Dropbox folder along with a photo of an undamaged window from ebay.

Got it fixed. Ebay window, moved metal rail from donor window to mine to not have to re-tint donor window, re-secured with bolts & nuts instead of rivets. Thanks for the tips
