I had Sara (2001 Z28 A4) dyno tuned in 2003 after a rear end gear change (3.73:1), and a 3200 stall installed. The dyno tuner set the converter "lockup" @ 43 MPH. My personal preference is set it up for no lock up 1-3 and lock up after the 4 the gear shift and north of 50 mph.
But as stated sounds like its been previously tuned.
