Abs inop
Abs inop So i haven't been on here in a long time. So wasn't sure where to post this. but I figured this would be the best place to find the info I need. so my 01 ws6 the check engine abs inop dash lights came on. ive been doing research how to fix the problem. and I know it could be the module or speed sensors. so my question is which is most likely the problem. the module or the front sensors or rear? The car has zero abs and a hard brake pedal. could it be a master cylinder issue? well if anybody can help plz lmk thanks
The ABS module has codes just like the PCM that controls the engine. You need to have it scanned to get the codes in order to understand what area of the system is malfunctioning. (It could be a number of things.)
Not all scanners can scan both the PCM and ABS codes, so you will need to make sure the scanner you are using specifically can handle the ABS system.

Please post back your codes. If you want to get into hypotheticals, you can search this site for lots of discussions on purchasing, rebuilding and/or not being able to rebuild certain parts of ABS modules.
IMO - Its not worth getting wound up about something like an ABS module replacement if you have something more common like a rodent eating through a speed sensor wire...
