Default LT1 Engine Oil Cooler Seals

Greetings,

I am looking for some assistance in tracking down a part number and/or store to purchase from. I’ve been trying to chase down an item and have finally found at least a name, Engine Oil Cooler Seals (see items 154
/6 on shbox photo). I am specifically talking about where the two coolant hoses (inlet/outlet) connect to the oil cooler. I had to remove this piece to get to my oil pan (don’t get me started on that conversation) and I had found two o-ring-type seals that were in very bad shape. The only seals I have found have been for the Oil Cooler attaching to the block. Has anyone found replacement parts somewhere for these? Thanks ahead of time for any help.

- Jon

Best thing you can do is trash can that pos cooler they were a joke when they were brand new.
Remove the complete assembly and install a standard SBC filter adapter and run a PF35 filter.
Any filter adapter and 2 bolts from a 55-2000 year model 350, 305, 283, 327 and SBC will fit it.

Unscrew pipes out of radiator leave you a couple red rags stuffed under it for a few day's until the cooler bleeds out.

Thanks for that. I did see a lot of comments about removing it. As I just want to get the car running again, I’m holding off any upgrades/rework until I know it can pull out of the garage at least lol. Out of pure luck, a dealership in Illinois was able to track down two from a dealership in Indiana. See the pictures of what they said is the correct seal. Thanks again for the recommendation on removing it. I don’t think I’ll be this lucky again, so I’ll plan to remove it all together in the first place.
