4th gen Camaro Belts don't lock?
Hello, i have a 96 Camaro (T-tops) and since i've had it i've never gotten the belt to lock when i pull it.
It still passes the inspection but i'm more worried about safety.
Is there a way to fix them, making them easier to lock?
If i have to replace the belt then how do i get through the roof of the car?

Yes, if you jerk on it really hard and really fast it might lock. In a crash, the pendulum should move and lock the belt.
That being said, dirt and fuzz can gum up that mechanism. I would test both sides of the car and see if the behave differently. If you have a problem, it would typically show up on the driver's side first.

Compared to some other cars the belt lock on my Camaro isn't as easy to trigger, but I'm ok with that as long as it works, partly because I guess I'm too fast and half the time l lock the belt just trying to put it on half the time
