Default Oil pan replacement 02 T/A

I haven't looked at it yet but my son was driving last night and hit something. He noticed the oil pressure drop and shut it down instantly. Its been flat bedded home, oil everywhere. How much or a job is it to r and r an oil pan om an LS1 ( aluminum oil pan) This may be covered under insurance. I'll have to get it in my mancave first. Not an easy task. Then up in the air on jack stands. To see what else has been damaged. This sucks, the car only has 8000 miles on it and its a 10 out of 10. Im no spring chicken anymore (65) and just pulled the 406 sbc out of my 78 T/A to fix a rear main seal and replace the oil pump. The oil pump was high pressure AND high volume 85 psi cold, 75 to 78 hot. (too high and probably lead to the seal going south. Im tired of yanking engines and want to take the 02 to an mechanic and get it replaced ( if I can find one I trust) Maybe, just maybe it knocked a hole in the oil filter, That would be a blessing ( fingers crossed ) I dont believe there is any engine bearing damage, he heard the clunk and looked directly to the gauges, shut it down and coasted to a stop. This afternoon it gets looked at. Thanks for any advise.

Large hole in the pan. Does anyone know if GM still has this pan available? Found a new to me mechanic that will do the job for me. Edit: looks like they are still around.

All fixed. No engine damage. Great oil pressure. 55 psi at idle and its @ 60 psi at 3000 rpms. Dodged a bullet . Good thing my son shut it off asap.GM oil pan is roughly $540. Found a great mechanic to do the job.
