Default Multiple ignition switches 1993 TA

1993 TA. 4 in 6 years. Less than 20k miles has been put on since they started going bad. My 94 and my 96 never had this issue. I don't see how they can be installed wrong. Are 93s prone to this problem? Are all aftermarket ignition switches pure crappola? Buehler?

What exactly is going wrong with them?

Are we talking about the ignition switch (near the base of the steering column) or the ignition cylinder (where you insert and turn the key)? If it's the ignition cylinder then do you have a heavy ring of keys hanging off your ignition key? That will cause premature wear.

The switch on top of the steering column towards the firewall. The car won't start. No chimes, no clicks, no starter turn over nothing. The dash lights up and the gauges work, just no ignition.

Seems I'm only getting **** parts. I try to get the most expensive option available. It's not a fun process, especially if it happens miles away from home : Removing the seat, gutting out the under dash, unhooking the steering knuckle, etc.

Wondered if there's a brand that I should look for or if there's a known problem somewhere else that would cause failure.

Check the Blue Connector going into it and see if any part of that is charred or melted. Check the Black one as well but the Blue one is the main power into it.

Update!!!

Another one mightve gone out. No chime. Turn key to start; starter doesnt engage; brake and another dash icon lights up, turn key to off and those two icons turn off with switch. I'll get another one and check those connections you mentioned.

Battery is new, had a jump box on as well to eliminate that.

I'll check those connections for burns
