Unhappy an engine full of water :(

im in the process of doing a head and cam change. my car has been sitting for about a year but have had the heads off for about 4 months. i got ready to drop the oil pan and i noticed some water dripping from the front of the pan where the timing cover meets. i thought maybe it was just some from on the motor or something but when i took the plug out of the pan out guess what came out the the my oil pump and the tips of the crank n rods have that oil/water mix on them... i didnt see any visual rust but i still know its not good. is there any way i can fix this without having to rebuild right now or am i screwed and sure to spin a bearing when i get ready to start it up?

You can't leave a car sitting for a whole year and expect it to be in just as good of a condition now as it was when you parked it...

turn the oil pump with a power drill and extension. this will throw oil all over everything and if there is water you will see it mixed in with the oil. after you have spun it for about a 5 min, empty out the oil. Fill it back up with some cheap *** oil and repeat process. Start the motor and let it run for about 30 sec. Swap filters, change oil and run for about 30 sec again. Repeat process until no more watter or creamy substance is still in oil. Continue process 2-3 more times after you think it is all out but let the motor idle for a longer period of time(3-5 min) before shutting off and changing the oil and filter again. Remember to use cheap as oil because you will just be throwing it away. I would never suggest to do this if you dont absolutely have to, its always best to tear it down and inspect the motor for damage, especially with a cast iron block. But if you cant do that, do this as a last resort.

thanks for the help. i just put the pan back on today. i took it off and poured oil in the lifter valley and let it all run down. i took the lil pan off thats bolted to the bearing caps and wiped everything down and changed the oil pump out. i put some fresh oil and some lucas in it but i havent started it up yet im still doing my head n cam swap. im trynna learn how to set the rocker arms lol. i guess its not to bad so far cause the motor still spins really easy by hand and never once felt like it was froze up.

when the intake valves begins to open, set the exhaust, when the exhaust starts to close, set the intake. DO that for each cylinder and you will be fine.

Disconnect the ignition and crank the engine for a few seconds to pump up the lifters it makes zero lash much easier to find. Gangly's method works, however if you do this set the valves before you put the TB and air intake back on. The reason why is so you can turn the crank from the top of the car and watch the valves. If you have a friend helping you out you can disreguard that advice.
