No start Ok here is the problem. My car wont start. battery is all good all power. But not even a little click when i turn the key. My first thought was the starter but have gotten a few other things like the V.A.T.S. or the Neutral Start Switch and so on. Now before it stopped starting the car was starting very strong the starter was very strong. Also i had to let the clutch out a little to get it to start when i pushed it all the way down it wouldnt start. any help would be much appreciated.

well since u havnt gottn any replies as of yet i'll take a shot. i have an a4 so im not sure how these manuals work on these cars, but im sure u have a safety starter switch in which the clutch has to b depressed before starting, look into a bad switch. also the soleniod in the starter could also b bad. if ur setting off any DTC codes, get them checked out. especially if ur throwing the vats code, that would b the problem. these r just guesses, hope that points u in the right direction

I'm having the same problem with my car. It will work fine for days and then just all of the sudden it won't do ANYTHING when I turn the key. At first I thought it was the battery, so I replaced it and things were fine for a month or so. Then it started again. This time I had it towed to the dealer and they replaced the starter relay. Again, it worked fine for about a week and then started again. It's acting like the clutch isn't depressed, but since all of these things fixed it temporarily I'm thinking it's some kind of electrical problem. I've taken it to the dealer again when it was working fine hoping they could find something wrong and of course they couldn't.
I asked them if this would be covered under warranty if it does this when I pass 36K and they said yes since I've made a record of it. I recommend taking it to the dealer to at least document the problem - preferrably when it won't start and they can tow it (assuming you're still under warranty).
