opti go boom now missing

opti go boom now missin i started out trying to find out what was causing my miss and found out the water pump was leaking so i changed it but i guess i got some water on the opti because when i pulled out the rotor button exploded...took off the ign module first to check that and figured it was the opti so changed that and and then miss got a lil worse...so changed plugs and wires...still no help...doesnt seem to miss until 4k up...srt-4 beat me bc of it 
and ever since i changed plugs and wires my abs inop light comes on...any help would be gr8ly appreciated...

Since it's clear that you don't have an issue with spark, I can only conclude two other things: 1. air/fuel mixture is too far out of balance to ignite (too lean) or 2. loss of compression.
Number one can be caused by a dirty, clogged, or inoperative fuel injector; air leaks; low fuel pressure due to weak fuel pump; a restricted fuel filter; or a leak fuel pressure regulator. Also, a leaky EGR valve can cause the same problems as an air leak.
Number two can be caused by a burned exhaust valve or a blown head gasket.

is it possible to install the opti wrong? or that autozones cap and rotor is bad or wont hold that many rpm...i dont know much about these so might be a stupid ?....and is there a way to test the egr valve? it threw a code for egr vavle b4 and i cleaned it and it stopped so maybe thats it again but no codes...

Yes i did install it myself but i dont think i did it wrong...but i think im going to break it back down and put a new one on...thinkin maybe it had a crack in it..but checked all my fuel and everything was fine...not sure how to check for a head gasket
the opit will only work one way if you put in it the worng way the car will run like ****. we had the same problem with a car we worked on i think we changed the opit, added fuel pressure, and went to a colder plug try a autolite 104 it's a little colder than stock!
