Leaking oil
#21
Thanks guys for all your feedback. Hmmm not sure of my gear ratio i will try to find that out, it seems like a wide ratio, i am not positive but i swear i was going like 110 in 3rd gear one day but i could be wrong. As far as my leaking oil hopefully i will get a clearer picture when i take everything off to put in my dynaspark when i get it I just worry about this car sometimes because on the history reort it said this car was built in canada but sold to a person in alaska for like 2 years, I cant imagine a camaro being a good car for alaskan or canadian weather. my car is 101,000 miles if anyones interested. With basic bolt-ons how long can i expect the engine to go? could i expect to see 200,000 miles?

sure. if its in good shape now and you continue to take care of it then yes itll last that long. dont put off repairs for mods and dont beat on the car. cross your fingers and hope itll last. there are a lot of people with high milage LT1 cars

93ZM6---Heres a link to the speed density board I mentioned earlier in this thread. Its a 93 specific list. Kinda neat knowing that 93's got stuff that other years didnt.

To find out if your intake manifold is leaking, reach around behind it (from the top) and find where the joint sits on the block. This is where it will leak. If you have oil leaking up here, you'll have it all over your hands as you feel around.
To fix the problem, remove the intake and reinstall it with new gaskets and gasket sealer. Let it dry overnight before you start the car up again.

CAGS is a m6 problem by the way.
Why would this LT1 be any harder to fix than the others.
I thought all LT1's had a MAP sensor on the intake.
The opti can be changed to newer style once crapped out
I really dont know about the fuel rails but there is always a junk yard to get others.
What i learned from your post is opinions are like ********....everybody has one. It is ok not to know, but making mostly untrue negative comments towards a certain year that some people take pride in is not too smart around here.

I love my Delteq setup. It works flawlessly. Also, I have not heard anything bad about the Delteqs.
