Well i was coming home a few nights ago and turned my wipers on to get the dew off my windshield, i noticed the wiper blades stoped at the top of their stroke (straight up) when i turned them off. I turned them off and on again then they went back down to normal off position. Then later on night #2 it happened again, execept they will not go down when turned off.
The wipers still function fine it is just they will not go down to the resting position. I did not do anything to mess with the wipers at all. It almost seems like something has reversed itself electronicly and now they stop on top instead. Anybody had anything like this happen? I kinda need a fix because i look ghetto going down the road with wipers stuck in the up position.

Yea my 93 does that, welcome to the club. I have a couple ideas what it is but not certain. I'm thinking it has to do with the wiper motor, maybe the drive pins are out of whack, not sure. Thats just going off other GM cars I have had to work on. F-bodies are like the only car I have ever heard of them doing this. I'm think the motor is just worn out.

Hello,
Sounds like the wiper control module thats mounted to the motor. It is what takes the signal from the switch and then tells the motor what to do.
Part # 12367295, $90.74 retail. It includes the plastic cover.
Hope this helps!

From what I searched, its realy easy to break the motor changing it, so better to change the whole thing. This now on my long todo list with my 93. Heres a couple off e-bay

Hey i noticed on the ebay page that the guy sells switches also. where do you hook the switch up? So i do i have to buy 2 seperate motors? I have never even looked at how they work really. What a bummer, my car is a 97 and i really dont overuse or underuse the wipers.
