Car Problems Hey everyone. I need help with a quickness. Today, i was driving down the road doing around 50mph, and then my car made a sound like something blew. I had enough speed to coast into a gas station. I let the car cool down, and checked to see if i had spark, and fuel. I had spark at the coil, put none at the spark plug wires. So, i think that the Opti-spark took a dump. My fuel is fine, but i just need some quick advice, please. My car is stuck over a hundred miles away. So, i need my car back in the next day or so. So, any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks---Freddie

first, hope you have tow insurance. that's a $10/month lifesaver.
As for the problem...could be a # of things, loose/burnt wires, coil, opti, or ignition module behind coil. We need more info after you do some trouble shooting.

i just replaced all the wires and plugs last week when i had my tranny rebuilt. How do you check the ICM? I have a beater to drive down to the car. I Have a good spark from the coil itself, but when i plug it into the opti, and check at the spark plugs, i get nothing. All my wires are nice and tight. I was driving and then nothing. This car is really starting to get on my nervs.
