belt chirp.

Default belt chirp.

i have z 98 ls1 with 67000 miles on it, i hear a little bit of chirping from the belt. What do i do?

Well you could just replace the belt(s)... If you don't want to spend the money on those, spray the belts with some silicone spray lube with the car at idle.

I could also be the belt tensioner going. I happened on mine. The bearing was shot. I bought a stock replacement one. I think it was like $50 or something like that.

or it could be the drive belt idler pulley. its on the drivers side right above the alternator pulley. maybe alittle to the left of it but right above it. i had that problem and just replaced it no more chirp.
