window problem on 02

window problem on 02 on my 02 ss the window will go down, but then when I try to get it back up it only will go up half way then stop. At this point if i wait a couple min. it will work (going up & down) but will only move a little bit, then i have to wait again and repeat this process untill it is where I want it. Any ideas on what is going on?

Sounds like the window motor is toast. Going down is easy, you have gravity to help, but going up is a different story. Pushing all that glass up makes the motor work harder and it builds up heat, increasing resistance and reducing the power of the motor. When you wait a while it cools off and works again, but this is all just a sign the motor is shot and not getting enough current through it (you could also check the connectors).

Common problem on all F-bodies, I have two friends that have Trans-Ams one is a '98 and the other a '99 and they both have had to replace their window motor. On my car it has gotten to the point that the window will not even go down, cause I do not have the money to get a new one right now. I am a broke college student.

Yah same story happened to me when i bought my car. windows stopped half way, and went really slow when they did work. I Ebayed myself some new window motors (about 100 bucks for a pair of them) and they work like a charm after a fairly simple install, might as well do both sides while you are at it. Just watch out when you buy window motors, there are quality ones that are OEM and then there are China's finest that will last about a year then you'll have to replace them again.
I just did mine acouple days ago. I used the picture for the rivet drilling thats on LS1howto.com . Took me about an hour from start to finish. Got the lifetime warranty motor off ebay.
