Default cooling problem, I need help please!!

I have a 96SS and to make a long story short I have had to replace every piece of the cooling system minus the radiator. I just finished the water pump and put everything back together and cannot get the thing to cool. I have tried purging the air out and no luck with anything I try. I don't know if it is possible to have to much coolant in it or what is going on. Please let me know from your experience what you think it could be!

how about some more detail? what did you replace and what have you replaced it with? first we need to verify what all went into it making sure that it's all correct. How hot does it get and during what driving conditions does this happen?

Well, I changed the Heater Core, Thermostat, Water Pump, and Heater Hose assembly all with brand new parts. When I start the car, it just starts heating up right away as if there is no water in it but there is. I am about to drive this thing into a lake if I can't figure out what is wrong!

ok. first 2 questions:

1, is it the right thermo? a long dual spring or a short single spring?

2, were you able to bleed it correctly?

alright. I can walk you through it. there are 2 bleeder screws. One in the thermo housing and one in the top most heater line near the front of the alt. to bleed it corretly you need to add your fluid to the radiator. Then open BOTH bleeders untill fluid comes out of both. Then close them and start the car. Let it get to around 200* and top it off and put the rad cap on. Then shut it off and let it sit for a few mins. open the bleeders again to make sure that you have all the air out. Then close them and restart again. you should be good now.

See if the whole radiator is getting hot, I had a problem like yours and when I dropped the cooling fans and felt the radiator only the top half was flowing, bottom half was cool to the touch.

I know this will sound stupied but do you have your air dam on???? and if so what condition is it in.... I took mine off a while back when it was coooler and it was just find then as it heated up outside I ran into trouble.... When I bleed my system (last week) I ran the engine with bleeders open I could here it whisle. as air passed.... then the fluid started flowing... I did this 2x's before I got it all out..
