Oil Pressure?
Oil Pressure? What oil pressure does a healthy LS1 hold at idle fully warmed? No synthetic oil just regular, and 10-30. I just bought the car and the last guy always put regular which is what is in it know. I'll probably change it here this weekend to synthetic 15-40.

The two most highly recommended oils for the LSX engines are german castrol 0w30 and mobil 1 0w40, just get what is easier for you to find in your area. Mobil 1 0w40 is what I use along with a K&N HP2006 oil filter. Do a search for Patman on here, he is the man on oil analysis and will back up my input I'm sure. Good luck!

When speaking about oil pressure at idle, it's always important to remeber that (assuming your idle speed is still at the stock setting), the M6 cars should make more psi. Their stock idle speed is 800rpm vs. 650 P/N or 550 in gear for auto cars.
On my Trans Am, when it had the stock idle speed, it would drop to 25-30 all the time at fully warm idle (550 in gear). The I used Edit to raise it to 800rpm for the cam and warm idle psi jumped to a hair under 40. Just that 250rpm increase made a big difference. Then going to a aftermarket pump raised it another 5-10psi.
My '98 still has stock idle settings and a stock oil pump. It's usually at about 25-30 warm (in gear, 550rpm) and 30-35 warm (in park/neutral, 650rpm). This is with Mobil 1 10W30 and M1-107 filter.
